Trip to the Cities

We returned home safely from our 8 hour trip to see a pediatric nephrologist who was great to work with. Camden was a trooper for the drive and the appointment. The nurse checked his blood pressure in all 4 limbs and all pressures were normal. Go figure that they were normal when we were there to see a specialist. Don't get me wrong, I am overjoyed that the pressure was normal, I just hope the doctor took us seriously with his previous high pressures.

Camden had an echocardiogram done to check his heart due to the high blood pressure, which he laughed and giggled through! He also had more blood work done to check things that a normal lab has a difficult time doing. We are waiting on the test results. The doctor explained different procedures and interventions that may possibly happen depending on the test results. So it is always nice to know what "might" happen.

So the appointment was positive and we are happy they completed the tests they did just to check and also to get a baseline for potential future issues. The Berube family went swimming on our return home and had a blast. We had the pool all to ourselves...probably because it was 8:00 am on a Wednesday but nonetheless we had a blast and it was a stress free ending to our trip!
